Battery question

Has anyone purchased a new battery for their Z10 from Crackberry?

Does it recharge better than your stock battery?

I am having issues with recharging. I know if I power down my Z10 and plug it into the charger that the battery will properly charge to full, however sometimes when I power it down and plug it in the charger on the phone doesn't kick on and the device won't turn on until I do a battery pull. I was thinking of buying a new battery but don't want to be disappointed if it turns out the problem I am having is device related?

New battery will not resolve that issue. What you're explaining is a known bug.

Why are people turning off their phones anyways? Put it on airplane mode and turn off notifications. It's almost the same thing...

Do you guys know what 'cycle count' or 'charge count' means in those battery meter apps? I thought it was how many times you have recharged your battery but mine just keeps going up.

I was wondering the same thing... I'm wondering what 255 means on a new battery

I know there is a charging bug in the OS because I downloaded "battery watcher" today which I had running, it indicated when my battery was fully charged, then 10 seconds later it said "charging battery"...something in the OS tripped the charger to run again. Hopefully it gets fixed

Mines at 333, from what I found online is that it is how many times you have charged it, I'm hoping these numbers are wrong..

Which battery application are you referring to? Or were are you getting this 333 from?

Ha I've been trying a few today but mainly looking at one called 'battery charger for BlackBerry 10' and another app called 'system info'. My counter on both cycle count and charge count are up to 342 now, and my phone hasn't been plugged in for about 10 hours.

I'm guessing this is a mistake or a common problem.

Also on the battery charger app it says battery health is 93%, also hoping that is a mistake since it's a week old, or maybe it's typical for a battery, anyone here know much about this?

So if this is correct - About Battery Cycle Count - fruitjuiceapp.com - then the problem is in the batteries. My colleague at work just installed the System info app on his Z10 and told me his cycle count is 534!! And he charges his device once a day, he also got his device two days after I got mine.

I think RIM (I mean BBRY) bought a bunch of hosed batteries from some supplier in China.

Well I hope it's just some bad readings by those apps, these numbers are getting too high! My battery health is now 92%! But my battery life is definitely getting a little better each day.
