Are Battery Pulls Frequently Needed with the Z10?
Someone had just posted a thread regarding lag on the Z10, which led me to wondering if people need to perform battery pulls. I know when I had my 9780, I was battery pulling about once a day. It was beyond annoying!
Has anyone had any problems with this? - 03-16-2013, 03:48 PM #3
I was one of the first ones to get the device at public release and I have never done a battery pull

No. I don't pull the battery. I don't turn the z10 off. It just works and works.

No. Only for some uncommon errors. And even then, holding the power button for approximately 10 seconds KILLS THE POWER AND THEN BOOTS THE PHONE. I just used caps because many people ignore this fact and instead wear and tear their back plates.

Nope, you may never have to pull the battery for the life of the phone. Same basic core operating system as the playbook - and there is no way to pull the battery on a playbook. I haven't even turned my phone off since I got it (except for reboot during update) since first week of february!

I don't mean to use past BlackBerry experiences as a comparison to what the Z10 can do, but it's hard to imagine my BlackBerry without any lag or freezes. I cannot wait to get my Z10! T-Mobile needs to hurry up!

Haven't pulled the battery yet, and have no need to!
Although it's a different restart cycle than a battery pull, the great thing about the phone is that it does come with the "Restart" option built in, and it appears when you press and hold the top button

Only time I pull the battery is when I swap it for the spare, which is maybe once a week...

Bold 9000 -> (phone so bad I can't remember it...) -> Torch 9800 -> Z10.

No battery pulls here. My only reboot was during the upgrade. Not required when installing/uninstalling apps either. Nifty.

If a battery pull is frequently needed, the phone is either an individual lemon, or if it's a widespread problem, it'd be all over the news.
