I realize we are in the times of battery pulls not being required anymore and I am happy for that. I have read on here that they can be harmful to the OS. My question is, I have the charger bundle and replace the battery daily so I always have a full battery handy. Is this going to cause any damage as some people state? I always make sure to turn the phone off before replacing.

The only thing that comes to my mind is file corruption, but like you said, you turn it off before swapping. And even then, who is stupid enough to kill power on save/write states? AND EVEN THEN.. damaging the Operating system itself? That is beyond me.

Happy the days of battery pulls are gone. That said, I do have a spare battery for long days now. Only had to use it twice but nice to have the ability.

That's what I was thinking but wanted to make sure since so many have posted how bad it is. I guess if it could potentially damage the OS then we wouldn't have a removable battery in the first place.

I still do battery pulls on occasion. Especially if I travel far from my house. It could be me and all in my head, but I feel like it gets a better connection to the cell tower.

It just makes absolutely no sense to do a battery pull in normal circumstances, when you can just restart the phone.

Like I said earlier I do it because I swap batteries.
