How much battery should I lose overnight when not charging the Z10? I just did a test last night and it was 20%.

    Attachment 170735

Is this normal for most people?

Not for me. On a bad night it's maybe 1% per hour. Are you keeping active frames open, getting a lot of messages, etc.?

I have pretty good battery life in general. Lasts me 12-15 hours with medium-heavy usage. I usually lose around 10% overnight. Try turning off your data services and leaving your wifi on if you need email notifications. If not, then just leave both data services and wifi off and you will probably see less than 20% decrease.

Well it was really my first test overnight as I'm usually charging it. So what I'm hearing is it's only supposed to drain about 10% or 1% an hour while on this "idle" state.

No I don't get many emails or messages overnight and yes last night I kept some active frames open. I'll test again tonight with only the battery app frame open and see if I can get it closer to 10% loss.

I'd just close everything for a good baseline test

Oh yeah sorry, I'm on the latest mash up leak 10.1.0.4285.

However I've noticed this version isn't that great on battery life. Maybe I'll re-install .2354 + rf 1917

I usually do but was just curious last night so I decided to test but at least now we know you should only lose about 10% overnight.

Yeah good point but just wanted to get an idea of range so I can form an "average". I'm not happy with my 20%!

Turn off blue tooth at night or whenever you are not using it. That was the biggest drain for me.

Something is going on with Z19. Use to get 1% drain overnight. Last night, on bedside mode I lost 32% and I am only getting 6 hrs during use. It is either Sound Hound or the facebook update.

Check your email setup. I was losing 32% overnight. Finally realized my activesync email had somehow reset to push. Change it back to interval sync, 30 min, and it is now 8% overnight.

Last night was more than 30%

If you're still having issues, try turning notifications and radio off, leave wifi on, and close all apps. See what happens

Meh, I don't want to do that every night and plus I don't get any notifications in the middle of the night anyway. Drain rate at idle should be much less than this.

Haha, I didn't mean EVERY NIGHT, just if you were still testing. Maybe you just need a new battery
