    I've found my battery life improved from going to
    System Settings
    Notifications
    Normal
    Customise App Notifications

    and going through the list to disabled notifications from apps that I don't need them from, for instance Kindle etc etc.

    There were loads in there that had defaulted to notifications on, I'm assuming each would take a small slice of cpu time to refresh each time, and the less it has to do the better.

    All I have now is basically calendar, mail, texts, BBM, FB and WhatsApp ie what's in my Hub
