- Hey guys i got my Z10 over 2 weeks ago from UnlockedMobiles.com and my battery has been truly terrible. I know the first week or so it is supposed to be bad and then get better but it hasnt happened. The Software is 10.0.10.90 if that helps, but it will go flat within 4 hours of on and off usage. Is there any tips to why it is soo bad just for mine. I live in Australia and i dont think there are anymore software updates.03-26-13 01:02 AMLike 0
- Try to turn down the screen brightness. I use WIFI a lot and that helps me with battery life. I close active frames as soon as I'm done with them. I been using my device heavily for texting, browsing and gaming. Been getting about 8-10 hours.
Other than my screen brightness and closing active frames, I'm not really doing anything special with my Zed.03-26-13 01:08 AMLike 0 - Open all apps and make sure you go through the permissions. Turn screen down, make sure blackberry travel automatic trip scanning is off. Turn off NFC and make sure all your hub setups are working properly.

- Hello all, I had been plagued with the battery problem too. Phone running hot all the time and battery dead within 6-8 hours. Called the carrier and prepped the phone for return, but then i noticed after wiping all the apps and rebooting, it was running cool. I had tried a complete wipe previously, but then i restored by backup which put back all the apps. I'm confident that there are still some BB10 Apps that either turn on the GPS frequently or are spiking the CPU. I didn't have any of the usual suspects like the Ebay app or Travel. So I'm not sure which apps are the problem. The other thing is, I didn't notice the battery fix itself until the phone was hard rebooted. It seemed just removing the apps didn't do it. I did a backup then a reboot and when it came back, running cool.
Prior to wiping the apps - 5-7 hours
After wiping most apps - 18-24 hours. The only apps i have running on the device now are a few games which wouldn't have any background processes, BES email, Imap email, Whatsapp. (Note was on wifi for better part of the day)
I would suggest those with the hot phone problem. Wipe the device. and add one app at a time.Last edited by puppydg68; 03-27-13 at 09:13 AM.
