Something is wrong with your phone. What OS are you running? What carrier? What apps are running?

That was with no calls, moderate browsing, and some app downloading. I was at car dealer getting my car serviced.

I'm having the same problem, just the past couple days I go to work at 7 and by noon it will be dead. I work in the food industry and do NOT mess around with my phone so on standby the phone drains hard.

Sounds like a background service running or sticking when it shouldn't (memory leak).

When was the last time you had rebooted the phone? Also check data usage.

My thought is it's something you don't know is running, that's why I asked about latest reboot.

I'm having more or less the same problem as op. For some reason the battery consumption seems to drop if I open the (sideloaded) spotify app, but that may be just a coincidence.

Battery life used to be ok, but has turned for the worse lately. (as in the last two weeks.). I have two batteries, and battery life is equally bad on either.

I have uninstalled twitter & skype, but that didn't make things better.

I'm thinking it may be some data related issue with this os release, as I haven't been able to receive mms. Think I'll load a leak.

    I'm on 10.1.0.2312.

If you have LTE, turn it off.
That single thing made a huge difference for me when I was at the house and outside of the LTE area.

Or if you have wifi, just turn on wifi and LTE will auto turn off, this is how we operate our phones unless we are getting close to data caps and need to force data off.

It could be where you were too. Don't know the science behind it but it's true. I work in a big building made of cinderblock, get terrible reception. It's like my phone is constantly looking for signal and changing networks. When I'm at home and not using my phone non stop, which is rare, I cam last almost a whole day. (I'm still on 10.0 so I have bad battery life anyway) while at work, I have to charge by lunch or I'm out of juice. And it's not just the10. My torch which would last me more than a day would need to be recharged while I was at work. My coworkers note 2 also does this while he's at work. And the coworker with the iPhone always has his plugged in. Of course iPhone's might as well be corded phones anyway. Lol! I joke I joke!

I'm having the same issue. Started Friday night. I'm getting no more than three hours and that's if I don't touch it. I have no new or updated apps and have been using the same os for over a month. I have tried everything from reboots to battery recalibrations, I've deleted apps one by one. The only thing I have left to try is an os reload, which sucks because Link won't back up my device either.

Sorry for the double post. Thanks for this information! I'm having the same issue. Just deleted the 8track App. I'm usually on WiFi at home or at my office and a charger is always near. For the last two weeks I have been out in the field or travelling a lot and my battery life is absolutely atrocious. I hope this remedies the problem. Thanks again!

That seems like an issue, since they charge you for data usage, has to be somewhere you can turn off the radio.

That's not turning off the radio. That is simply turning off LTE. That uses a lot of power to drive the radio on LTE speeds.

Even with every radio turned on and connected and screen brightness turned up it shouldn't be this bad, there is something else going on.

I would start uninstalling applications and maybe disconnect some of your accounts like email facebook etc. You will need to do this one at a time to figure out what the culprit is. I would start by disabling push email.

Also if you have the ebay app, get rid of it.
