    Dear CB friends,

Greetings from Germany. I use since almost 2 years a BlackBerry Q10, but last week I got back from my brother the Z10 I gave to him when I moved to Q10. I love the Z10 form factor. Using the app Battery Fiction Pro on the Z10 I noticed a small increasing of the battery use, but I noticed also that the number of cycles of the battery is 437....Isn't that too much?

After how many cycles do you replace usually your batteries?

    Cheers!

    Hey elfabio80,

437 cycles isn't really all too much. One battery cycle simply means that the battery was charged from 0 to 100%. Most of the smartphone users charge their device once a day. So one year = 365 cycles. Now those 437 cycles could either mean, that not all the charging is recorded probably, or that the phone was charged less frequently and therefore one load of battery got your brother through more than just one day.

What did you mean by "noticed a small increase in the battery use"? That one app draws more power? The battery empties slower / faster than before?

And well... there is no certain number of cycles, after which I replace a battery. It depends on the capacity the battery has left and whether the remaining amount is still enough for you.

Thank you so much Markus for your reply.

Actually I wrote badly, I apology!!...What I meant to say is that with that App my Z10 battery lasts longer.... I will check if that it is only "placebo effect", or if the app helps the battery to be used longer!!

I am glad to see my battery it is not too old. Btw I will be considering to bay a spare one.... I never used the Mogen batteries. Do you have any personal experience with these?

    Greeting!

    Hey elfabio80,

"Mogen batteries"...? Probably a typo, never heard of this before.

In general I don't trust a single App, which promises a better battery life...
