Yep. It charges the phone, the battery. But can't charge the both simultaneously. ...otherwise there's no problem.

OK, you put a fully charged battery into the device and it will charge your phone? That's how I use mine.

Not really. I can charge the battery with the charger bundle device and when it's charged, I could unplug it from the power outlet and connect the bundle to the phone to charge the phone.
