    does backing up the device from BlackBerry Link backs up sideloaded apps as well? like game progress and all that stuff?

    for the sideloads you start over i think and they are not backed up. although i have never got a damn backup to restore so i cant say for sure lol

    He's correct. They don't back up or restore. You have to sideload and start over.

    Yes OTA saves your side loaded apps.

    yeah, the thing is i really wanna try the new leaked 10.2 but i didnt wanted to lose any info of the sideloaded apps

    There are many versions of restore that seem to work on the forums. Sometimes it's as simple as unplugging phone, x out of link, start it up again and plug your phone back in.
