Ah thanks for clarifying, I thought it was the BEF, I didn't realise there was a separate event, which is why I was confused as to why it was so good that I won tickets when anyone could get them

So yeah tickets are for the launch event that I won, and yeah I must've entered the facebook comp.

The BEF is on the 18th from 3-6ish - the LAUNCH is 6:30 -9ish and is invite only. You can register for the first one, you got an invite to the second one!

I use Telstra, but updated to .90 already with my wife's Optus sim. I'm glad to see Telstra on the ball though, as it might prove useful in the future.

get it from Expansys for $629, the best deal around (thinkus has it for $620 but expansys are much more reliable and thinkus doesn't mention warranty)

I went to an optus today and they wouldn't tell me if the store will have it on the 25th, they said the website and stores get them at different times and they don't know when they will get them today. Has anyone else been told anything similar or different?

I don't think there'll be iphone-like queues. Although, they say that metropolitan address should deliver ON the 25th.....

$9 - $50 talk and text - 100mb data
$16 - $200 talk and text - 500mb data
$22 - 650 talk, unlimited text - 1.5gb data
$34 - 850 talk, unlimited text - 2gb of data
$45 - unlimited talk and text - 3gb data

Also remember that 4G doesn't affect call quality or reception - it only relates to data.

Thanks. Contacted them as well but I was suspecting it was a grey import. Gonna get one that's part of the Australian stock next week when it launches then! (no word on whether it'll be available at launch though..)
