    Press open, re log into Gmail and it will fix itself..

    Same problem since 10.1.04181 update this morning. Turned off WiFi and account connected no problem via IMAP. WiFi may be dodgy today, signal strength changing radically and switching to LTE for brief periods.

    I just logged out of all my accounts and logged in again fresh. Solved my problems since I needed my emails to be working ASAP. I was doing the update while I was at work today ( I know kinda stupid, but I am sure you guys were all tempted just like me)

    This happens with me many many times on both the leaked and official OS. I don't know what's wrong, but this is getting annoying.

    Interesting. I had this issue as well since update. Nothing changed with my Gmail setup. Trying to "save" my unchanged Gmail settings for IMAP, wouldn't work...until I also switched off Wifi. My "unchanged" settings saved find this time, with no error.

    I've just updated to the MR release and this has happened to me but it's saying it wants to access the contacts on my Gmail account, is there anyway I can stop it from copying these to my phone as I don't want loads of duplicated contacts?

    You will need to uncheck the box with the gmail email on the Contacts app.

    It doesn't give the option to un check it
