    After the official update all my viber contacts are gone. Tried reinstalling the app but that seems like the biggest mistake because now I even don't have running app in other words when I try to activate viber it says error and that's all. To be honest I'm mad about this sh*t and I'm considering switch to android. Is it so much to ask for the apps to just work ?

    Same problem with me. I'm using the version from Snap. Now I can't even find the option to update contacts. Already did re-install and phone reboot.

    Can you be more specific ?

    I installed Google play store as per cobalt's post and downloaded viber from there. I'm still getting the error message when trying to activate viber. So still no working viber for me.

    Note Google play store is working fine, I'm getting notifications for updates etc.

    I'm really sad because I like the build quality and the OS of the device but if I cant get viber to work this is a dealbreaker for me.

    Dude, not everyone saves contacts from SIM. And I think the common issue is syncing Viber with the phone's contacts. So even contacts have been imported already from SIM, Viber might not still be able to sync with it.

    The latest version from Snap works fine though.

    Try uninstalling Viber, go to Snap and delete the Viber APK, restart Snap, install Viber from Snap.

    Does it work ?

    Hi Guys,

    I used to be happy with the Viber 4.3 from BBWorld as long as my Z10 was still running 10.2.
    Indeed, after upgrading to 10.3 suddenly all contacts seem to have disappeared :-(

    Now, partly by accident, I discovered Viber is now only "allowed" to see contacts which are *only* on the SIM card !!
    When a contact is linked to something else, it may be visible in Viber for some seconds after creation and then disappears.

    Soo, for all contacts you want to see in Viber, make sure to unlink the SIM contacts from the others. Or just create a new SIM-only contact !

    This annoyance may have been introduced in BB 10.3 for "security" reasons, certainly on corporate phones like mine.
