I loved YouMail. Even considered upgrading and possibly paying money for some of their newer features like Know Who's Calling, an feature that makes callers identify themselves if they want the call to go through.
Now I find out YouMail has no plans to support BlackBerry any more.
If you are as upset as I am, maybe you could let them know.
Social media like FaceBook, Twitter, etc. are great ways to publicly "embarrass" a dev to reconsider a poor decision.
Here is there FB page, haven't found the other pages yet:

I think visual voice mail is available on T-Mobile, ATT and Verizon? Perhaps you can ask your carrier?

It's better than the carrier option. Through you mail you can set individual ring back tones for any contact and the tones can be mp3s that you upload. Mails can be downloaded as mp3. If you pay for it, you get text transcription. Not even a comparison. I'm probably gonna side load the android version. The smart greeting they have greets the caller by name if they're in your contacts or broadcast their caller ID. Carrier vvm doesn't even come close, and you mail is free.

I was under the impression that they had merely outsourced their app development when it came to BlackBerry. With that in mind, I know one thing and am pretty confident of another.

    1. YouMail has the option to send voicemails over email. You get an attached MP3 of the audio, transcribed verbiage left, or both. Forever stored on your email service.

    2. I would expect that the YouMail for Android app would work well on BB 10 devices, too.

I've used YouMail for years. I don't bother with the app; I just use the email notifications and message playback. I like being able to set up individual greetings online, and to dump certain nuisance callers.

If I ever change carriers, I don't have to start over.

It is but not with the features YouMail gives me and YouMail did it all for free.

I haven't actually done any Android stuff on the BB yet. I kinda wanted to keep it pure (giggle)
    maybe I'll try it. Thanks!

We don't have a native app for BB10, and we're too resource constrained to build one.

However, the folks at @androidbars (AndroidBars.net, your neighbourhood BAR) have ported our Android app over, and the initial feedback we've seen on twitter is that it works well.

If you're looking for YouMail for the Z10 or upcoming Q10, that's the best way to go for now.

Alternatively, we are seeing lots of people using the mobile web site (which is pretty fast on BB10) and/or having voicemails e-mailed to them (which also appears to be working well for them).

I can't stand AT&T visual voice mail. I prefer not to use theirs. I really like You Mail. I can customize my greeting and use greetings to block call too. I have playing with the web version, sometimes it gives me problems on my Z10. I am still working that out.I have it on my 9810 and works perfect.
