HDMI cables transmit a digital signal, which basically means they work or they don't. The picture/sound quality will be the same amongst all. The only real difference is build quality. I have seen better longevity from my Monoprice cables than some of the Monster cables we had in the store I sold home theatre at.

I know some people that swear by Monoprice because of price. I have a friend who has ordered about 10 HDMI cables from Monoprice. 2 didn't work. He didn't need 10, but actually ordered extras assuming there would be duds, and he was right.

I won't pay full retail for Monster, but there is a large middle ground between that and Monoprice.

Poundland sell them now!!! I'm not even kidding, I have a Sony Ericsson one and got one from poundland, there is no difference other than the Sony one feels nicer.
