I know there were a lot of people in the past complaining about random reboots of their Z10, however it never happened to my phone until today. Just randomly, my Z10, since this morning, has been rebooting at odd and inopportune times. First thing this morning, it rebooted on swiping to wake it up (battery charge 100%). Then, later, while browsing the web, I went to select a link and it rebooted again (battery charge 75%). Just now, it rebooted while talking with my wife on the phone (battery charge 65%).

I'm running 10.2.1.2977 official on Telus. Of course, my one year warranty is up in 2 days so if I need to send it in for a hardware problem, I kind of need to act fast. I haven't installed any new apps and have been running 10.2.1.2977 now problem free for quite a while. There doesn't seem to be any common denominator when it happens either (always having some app running or whatnot).

As a side note and interesting coincidence, my wife's Z10 seems to have just started doing the reboot dance too.

So, does anyone have any thoughts on what's happening and what to do about it?

Did either of you install the same new apps?

AT the very least open up a claim ticket with your carrier. They will make you go through a full OS update - and you'll need to see how that works over a few days. But at least there will be a claim opened IF you can't get the issue resolved.

Have you shaken or tapped the phone firmly against your palm to see if it might be a loose battery? But I also advise you to at least call the carrier before the warranty expires and put them on notice.
