I tried to install the amazon app store from the Amazon website...via browser. it didn't install, but after this attempt my browser (native BlackBerry) automatically plays embedded videos while browsing. Anybody has an idea how to disable this?
It's extremely annoying to have a stupid comercial popping up while browsing.

Setting - Application Manager - Installing Apps. Set it to on.

I installed the app a couple of days ago, when it was advertised they were giving a couple of free apps away

Not sure that trying to install the Amazon App store would have any effect on the browser, but my browser has always automatically played those darned embedded videos. Can't stop most of them as they take over the screen sometimes. There are some pop-ups that seem to ignore the no pop-up setting too for some reason.

I think the problem is that there is no way to turn off Java scripting in the browser. The legacy OS had this ability (as does every other browser in the world), but why BB chose not to give us the same option in BB10, I have no idea.

You can't install via the browser, you need to download the apk to your phone first then run the apk

There are slim chances that something happened in the same time when I went for the app store...but not impossible.
More investigation or just wipe and start clean...
