Skype is blocked in UAE for all phones and computers unless you have created an account from overseas! BBMV will be added later with Etisalat and DU carriers as both help centers have indicated??

I heard also that the Z10 will be only available with 3G connectivity in UAE while in the UK and Canada as of today 4G LTE is available!!

“We are currently in talks with BlackBerry on launch of BBM Voice and Video services,” Farid Faraidooni, chief commercial officer of du, said in an emailed statement. “We shall soon commence testing phase to assure the right consumer experience. We remain committed towards launching new and innovative services that add value to customers in the UAE marketplace.”
Etisalat could not be reached for comment.

The first customer to buy the device from Dubai Mall was a banker from Qatar at 9:10PM at Jumbo’s outlet.
“I was fascinated by the Z10 and I had seen the demo on television,” said Meenal Mahajan, who works at Bank Sarasin Alpen in Qatar. “I am happy to know that I am the first customer to get hold of the new device.”
“I am on a visit to Dubai and I was not all hoping to get one. I am a fan of BlackBerry,” she said.

They are extremely disorganized, ive called 12361286187246 times and each time i hear either 5-7 days after the 'launch' or 3-5 days...
i opted for in-store pick up cus i felt that would be faster..

Well at least someone did! I have read this article from Emirates 24/7!! I 'm still waiting for a phone call from Axiom who promised me that before Thursday the phone will be in palms

A little advise for all... Don't buy the Z10 without the cover accessory of your choice... I heard that the screen is very sensitive on even low impact drop downs!!
