    Why does'nt the phone switch on when the alarm triggers? When the Z10 is switched off, unless it is physically switched on, why does it not switched on?

    Because the Device actually switches off properly.
    Ones which switch back on for an Alarm are actually just in a standby mode, BlackBerry 10 has never done that and never will.
