Hi,

I have a problem with my alarm app. I have to browse and re-select a new tone for the alarm everytime I try to add a new alarm. Also, is it possible to permanently change the default tone?

More info : I am selecting a music file from my media card, do you guys reckon that might be a problem?

How large is the card? Some folks seem to be having problems with the 64gig cards.

But as a test, you can copy/move that tune to internal memory and point to it there and test.

It seems every time I plug my phone as mass storage. The settings in my alarm app gets reset. I reckon it's an OS bug

In mass storage mode, when plugged in, nothing on your SD card is available to the device.

IE, your alarm tone gets reset to the default tone because the OS cant access the tone from the memory card. Copy/Paste the tone you want to use from the SD card to internal device memory, and your alarm tone should stay put. I have had this happen also, and moving the tone to internal memory was the solution I found.

As Homer says, when in Mass Storage Mode, access to the card becomes limited to the usb connected computer. It even worked this way on prior BB07 and earlier.
