Our Verizon Z10's came with an 850ma charger...a 1A charger is okay...2A will charge faster, but the lithium battery will get warmer...these batteries do not like heat so keep a close watch on it (feel actually) to make sure the back of the phone does not get warm. If it does keep in mind the battery will not last as long...you will have to replace it sooner. I do use my Playbook charger once in a while but only if necessary...

    How slow is very slow?
The original BB charger that I have is 750mAh and it charges the phone in about 1.5 hours.

I use my original BB Playbook charger to charge my Z10. BB actually sells the "Playbook" charger as the enhanced (I forget what they actually call it) charger for their various phones. It is an approximately 2A charger and I've been using it more than a year (and used in on my 9930 before the Z10) and I don't think I've seen any bad results.

750 mAh charge about 3%/5 minutes while htc charger with 1Ah output charge about 4%/5 minutes. The difference is meagre but it count when charging for a long time.

you need at least 2+ hours to charge the z10 when battery level is at 10%.

i use htc 1A charger and a belkin 2A charger. My daily Z10 is from may 2013 and the battery live is still good. The electronics to charge a lithium ion battery prevent it from overcharging and overheating. But playing a game like asphalt8 and charging with the 2A charger will heat up the phone. but that makes sense, since charger, cpu and gpu produce heat at the same time.

Fast charge/discharge cycles and the heat is what kills the batteries.

I use both PlayBook chargers 1.8 A and 2 A on my Z10. It's even listed on shop blackberry that it's compatible with the Z10

You can charge with 2A no issues. Battery will get lukewarm. It will not do any harm long term by being slightly warm.
You will also get faster charging time with 2A compared to OEM 750/850 mah. Although not that much faster as people make it to be due to battery electronics limits.

The Playbook charger in U.S. specs anyway, is 1.8A - the same as the premium car charger. I've used both on a Z10 for a year with no ill effects, they are compatible and official chargers. They charge the phone up nice and quick. I'm using them now on my Z30's. There was such a great deal on the Playbook chargers on eBay that I bought several and have them scattered around the house. Nightstand, desk, kitchen...just plug in wherever. Big improvement over the 850mA cube that came with the Z10's.

I would say that, it would charge the phone but obviously not fully since its a lower capacity than your phone has.

I purchased a 4,000mAh for my Q5 and it works really well for camping ect

I always use 1A to 2A, when U upgrade OS to 10.3xx your devices need at least 1A.
Already more than 8 Months baterai still powerful

Are you implying that Os 10.3 consume 30% more battery than current Os else why it need 1Ah output charger.

No different charger is needed, stock 750mA works good on every OS.
Same battery capacity with the same charging current results in the same charging time.

I don't know where you are or what model Z10 you have, but the stock charger in the US with 100-4 is 850 mA. My previous device was a Bold 9650 which came with a 750 mA charger.

I'm in Canada, exact Z10 model is now in my signature. The charger that came with it is 750mA "cube". It charges the battery from under 10% to 100% in about 1.5-2h. I had the same charger with Q10. Since Q10 has larger capacity battery, it takes a little longer to charge.

750 works only if you are not using the device at the same time. Otherwise I find that its pretty much a losing battle. use 1.5 A or up for "best results" imo

Yes, depends on what the phone is doing. % still going up with Internet browsing. BlackBerry stock charger has good size/performance. I agree 2A charger is better, but it's bigger too.

With hotspot, gaming, BBM and other stuff going on, I had my Z10 die on my while ON THE CHARGER! (750milli)

The PlayBook charger or Passport charger is much better in that extreme use case.

It also helps if you turn the phone completely OFF while charging every now and then (overnight) - or if it just refuses to charge while on, my impression is the charge feels kinda "fatter" when it wakes up again. :-)
