I have noticed that while on 3g network signal fluctuates constantly, I mean it show full strength and with in few seconds it drops to 2 bars or so...and if I switched to 2g, signal strength won't fluctuate and it's stable. This is strange to me, my previous BlackBerry phone also has the same issue on 3g. I am on idea network India and sim is proper micro sim not the cutted one.
Does anyone have similar issue, is this problem with the phone ???

Have you spoken to the network operator to confirm there's no maintenance or coverage issues that's causing this?

but it's working fine in 2g that's what i am not able to understand....and its been constant fluctuation in 3g every other minute its dropping and gaining signal....

Meaning they're are working on 3G and not 2G

I'd speak to your operator anyway and ask them. 3G and 2G network elements are completely independent of each other, so operators are able to work on 3G without effecting 2G signal.

This my second z10 got as a replacement, old one had hardware issues that also has the same issue signal used to fluctuate in 3g....

Same issue came to me, I am in delhi z10 on airtel.

Solution is to keep the network on 2 g and 3g mode and on manual selection, then u will never face the signal issue.

After doing this, just take the battery out for 5 min, I think that will solve the issue.

I have tried it but still same problem exists, actually when i am in 3g mode it shows 3G sometimes and H+ sometimes when it drops and gains signals is this causing the issue ??

As I have suggested u, even I faced today the signal issues, same.

BlackBerry z 10 has these issues. I was earlier using lumia and no such issues came.

U do understand that 2g and 3g are totally different networks with different coverages? if your operator does not have a good 3g coverage - it can fluctuate

ya 2g and 3g are different networks, i don't think it's coverage issues because above mentioned all are from different states and are with different carriers and if we use the same sim in other mobile we are not facing this signal dance i think it's a issue with z10 itself or the radio of the os, i am currently on o.s 10.2.1.3247 sr 10.2.1.2977.

I had the same issue with OS 10.2 and 10.3 as well. I live in a area surrounded by Airtel towers and I have a backup Samsung phone which is stable plus a 4g dongle from Airtel which behaves as it is supposed to.
This points more towards the radio on the z10.
