13 is the limit here.
L series gets compared against DEV Alpha A (i figure it as A, kindly correct incase its Alpha B). Anyways, Last lot here 8 more.
keep them coming :)
Thanks!! Those pics look great.
Does anyone notice 2 blurry strips on either sides of the earpiece(forgive me if I've used the wrong word)? I've noticed them in a few photos elsewhere. Can anyone say what they are?
One is above the secondary camera, and the other it to the right of the earpiece(our left).
Yes, even i noticed the same, absolutely clueless, what that blurr is all about?
It's most likely to blur out the serial number so the leaked phone won't get linked back to a certain individual for breaking NDA.
I am figuring that there are Identifying codes in these areas which the user of the device has blurred to remain anonymous. There are "leaks" after all.
Codes?? and that too on the joint, i dont agree. isnt it supposed to be inside the cover along with the battery.
I thought they'd be codes too, but I didn't say it because it'll be an odd place for a code. I'll check out the videos of the L Series and see if there's anything there. I request others to do the same, lets see what it could be! :)

Lol.. Would have thought they were already posted in here. Had me all excited, I thought they were new.
And yes, it's the serial numbers.

Thats it for me. Blaze had just shut this post with his reply.
lol i must have missed that post...."goes back and hides in disgrace"
Bla1ze has already confirmed it, but they are on the outside of these new pre-release devices for the very purpose of preventing just these kinds of leaks (not that it actually works, but if lost, they can be traced to who they belonged to). Every picture of the actual L has this area blurred out or stripped over with black tape if you look carefully. Perhaps it's why some of the earliest shots were all blurry - they were done by people who didn't want to spend the time to edit the pics before posting them. Same for any shot of the screen while it's on, where the device PIN displays vertically on both sides of the screen at the top and bottom.
Anyway we can get some pics showing this and a Bold 9900. Not many people have the Dev Alpha devices.
whats the small hole beside the power button?
Looks like a microphone, but on the top?
Has anyone figured out the thickness of this device using the 3.5mm jack as a reference? I dont have the tools to do this on holidays with my playbook
I have heard rumors that the port is for a microphone. Having a mic at the top allows for some amount of ambient noise filtering improving call quality. Also having multiple mics makes performing conference calls better from the phone.
That is a Dev Alpha B.
You can tell from the casing:

i'm starting to warm up to this but still craving Aristo...
I will definitely more then settle for this for now! I would love the Aristo also, as I am sure many others would as well. I will gladly accept this and use it to it's fullest potential. Once Aristo hits, if it is that much better then what I expect, I will either keep my "L" series as a spare or back up, or put it up for sale on Craigs list or ebay and use the money I would generate from the sale towards an outright purchase of Aristo. I am sure the "L" will more then suffice. I am sure soon after Aristo, they will be working on BB11, as technology is a vicious circle! We never have the latest and greatest no matter what
i hear ya,,, once they let the cat out, i'll see how long it takes 'em to get Aristo out, what's under the hood & when they upgrade the Pbook,,, that'll be the final info i need to make a good decision,,, i have an upgrade tucked away & wanna use it wisely,,, my 9850 bridged 64gigger Pb should get me by til then,,, whatever i decide, the device should hold up for "11", "12" or whatever they go to,,, one of the things i like is the way they update past models,,, QNX hardware in the "10's" should handle anything they throw @ it for awhile...
Seen before...but....Flawless indeed..:):)
This is comparing the dev alpha B not A but thanks so much for the pics, I hadn't seen these exact ones yet!!:D
