If they had really gone back to a Windows 3.1 style (were they even there before, anyway?) you'd truly be complaining. No need for ridiculous sarcastic comments that just harm the discussion.

I prefer 10.3 graphics even though I appreciate some from the 10.2 series but this is much more cleaner and yes, finally no more useless boxes with the icons.

The 10.3 icons look childish and lazily designed. I'm not so proud of my wallpaper that I care if there are opaque boxes around my icons, either.

Windows 3.1 is what I thought of, too, or Windows Mobile that I dumped 18 months ago because the apps were worse than Blackberry and it looked like the interface was designed by Fisher-Price.

I like the icons just like the are on 10.2.x

The only thing I would change is to get rid of the grey boxes around each.

The one from 10.3.x look kinda "cheap" to me.

10.2 icons look flashy and unique.
10.3 icons looks clean and organised.

Though, if I had to pick from one, I'd pick the 10.2 icons.

I would have preferred to have simply lost the grey box however, if the simple and basic icons are needed to provide a smoother, faster experience then I will probably appreciate it in time.

I actually like the gray boxes in 10.2. They make the screen look organized and it's much easier to read app names on light wallpapers. 10.3 looks like just another Android theme, nothing unique, nothing outstanding. I really hate this new simplistic, minimalistic, flat and candy colored interface fashion. New versions of iOS and Android make you feel uncomfortable to use your phone on a business meeting, for instance. People may think you're playing Candy Crush or something. Now BB10 is going in the same direction.

Text under icons on 10.3.1 is very small, uncomfortable to read, and very close to the icons. Display Font Size in Settings must be global system setting, not just for the Hub and few system apps. I really hope BB will fix this in the official release.
