I'm finding it quite frustrating installing an app/game only to see a crazy list of permissions being requested.

I'd love to see BB World add a permissions tab within a app/game's description so you can get that info prior to installing - much like the Google Play store has.

This annoy anyone else or am I alone here?

Agreed - it would be a nice feature to have. I'm sure developers would appreciate it too as it may go some way to reducing the number of people leaving 1 star reviews after downloading and then deleting because of perceived excessive app permissions.

In addition to your suggestion I'd like to see BlackBerry give the developer the option to add a few notes where they could further elaborate on how / why some of the permissions are needed - as opposed to the wide covering / generic permission categories that BlackBerry currently uses.

That would be a great add.
I'm surprised that more devs don't add that info to their descriptions. Something I used to see frequently in Google Play.
