So for the last couple of days my BBW has been telling me I need to update 14 apps 10 of them are current and up to date. 4 I will never update just because I don't use them. Anyone else having these issues?? And if so how did you defeat them! Tried with Wi-Fi only didn't help tried a hard reset, didn't help. Might try to "re-add" bbw bar file and see if this solves it

How can I fix BBW phantom update issues (Resolved).?-img_20160204_065718.png

Thanks for the great idea. And alas it doesn't help either. I'm dumbfounded.

Take a look at this. How to reinstall BlackBerry World using the BlackBerry World Recovery Tool | CrackBerry.com

I haven't used it myself, but have passed it on to a colleague that has used it. He had the issue where he couldn't get into BB World at all -- this fixed it. It may be the next best step, if refreshhing/rebooting doesn't help.

The first thing I would suggest is opening BB World. Swipe down from the top, Select settings > General Settings. Tap "Refresh BlackBerry World". That should take care of the apps where you are getting the update notice if they are up to date.

The apps that you don't use can be deleted. Otherwise, they will continue to give you update notices.

You can generally ignore UPDATE notices. I have a ton pending and just get around when I want to.

I guess you could UNinstall the ones you are no longer interested in.

Yes I know. But I have apps that haven't had an update push since last year like months into last year. Tell me there is an update for versions I already have installed on the device.

Noted. I try to help out with the best of my knowledge from time to time. But I was completely stumped on this.

Don't worry -- it isn't going anywhere. I've retitled it so it will be easier to find.
