    Has anyone downloaded a movie on to their Z10 and watched it on an HDTV? Does it come out at 720p, 1080p or less? Would appreciate any feedback!! I want to rent skyfall but BB world does not say if it is HD or not.

    I am downloading Sky fall right now. Will be able to play through HDMI cable. Will report back in a bit.

    Humm don't see a variety of settings on the HDMI out? So movie downloaded....attached to 70" Sharp LCD via HDMI....(Skyfall 2 gig download from Blackberry World)...quality...hummm...about as good as DVD...definitely not Blueray quality. Video plays right away...plays smoothly...sound is pretty good...Yamaha amp is using 7 channels decoding. Oops connection is Z10 to Yamaha amp via HDMI to Sharp TV via HDMI. And this all works...some things will have trouble validating this type of connection but Z10 works. Will put the movie on USB Flash drive and try it through my Blueray player and see how the actual video quality is.

    I strongly doubt that you'll be able to play the video on any other device than the phone; they have DRM.

    You would be correct about that! So for $19.99 I would give this a thumbs down. I will just buy Bluerays from here on out.

    Does your tv indicate whether it is 720 or 480p. Info button usually shows this? Dvd would be 480p. My apple tv does 720p but is way too expensive so I would prefer to use BlackBerry.

    Z10 definitely outputs to hdmi at 1080p as I tested it last night only question is what quality of movie file we are getting.
