Default Resizing Camera Pics for Wallpaper?

So I take a picture with my camera, I go to my media folder and look at that pic, it fills the screen perfectly so I click "Set as wallpaper" but then it blows up and the wallpaper and is just a blurry tenth of the original pic.

How do I set it up so that the wallpaper is the same size as the pic displays in the media folder?

Thanks in advance.

Can't say I have this problem, but a easy work around is to view the pic, then press the BB button and zoom in or out just one click, then set as wallpaper.

What OS / theme are you using?

What is going on is your camra is taking pictures at a higher res. Than the torch can show on the screen unless you have it set to fit to screen. This option doesn't carry over to wallpapers though......
What i do is hook my torch to my pc and open the picture up in ms paint and resize it to 360x 480 and save/ save as whatever the case maybe. Ms office manger can resize the picture also but it could be a pain. It want to keep the same ratio between width and hight. Meaning some sizes it won't make the picture 360x480 but something like 296x540 or something craxy like that. If your picture is under 1000 pixels then in paint all you do is open in paint go to image tab then attributes. Put in 360x480 the ok. If your picture is bigger than 1000 pixels it'll just do just what the phones. It'll down size but won't be the whole picture. So to do this you can do it 2 ways. If your good w/ math and can figure the % between the pictures size and the size you want then open picture in paint open image tab then resize/skew then put in the % then ok. The math just takes to long for me if its wierd numbers so I use 2 steps. I type in 50 % for both sides then I go to attributes then type in 360x480
If you photoshop then this is so easy. Open picture go to image select resize, image size and type in 360x480. Of course always save to your phone.

OS is 6.0.0.246

I don't think I care enough to go through the hassle of taking pics, putting them on the computer and doing all this editing just to send it back to myself and then set as wallpaper. I was just looking for an easy settings fix so I can snap and pics and if I like it set it as wall paper.

Let me know if that exists. THANKS!

Don't think you can. Are you taking the pic in landscape? If I snap a pic in portrait, it "zooms" fine as wallpaper but appears 1:1 in landscape. If you look closely at the OE wallpapers, or others from a theme, you'll see the same behavior. It's just not as noticeable because the pic size is smaller to begin with.

I've had the same issue with doing that with BBM rather than wallpaper. I forget what I ended up doing to fix it without using PC- but it is doable.

Easiest fix there is, and can be done right from your phone and doesn't require a pc.

You need to go to Options
> then display
> then screen display
. scroll to the bottom, at Theme press the reset button
> Press change wallpaper
> select your image
> zoom out and voila you're ready to go. Worked for me and all done in the device, no need for a PC. But you have to be in options, couldn't make it work in image gallery

Simply use a screenshot application. Make the picture fill the window and take a screenshot. Now the screenshot is the correct resolution.

I would first of all say that I had this problem with my Torch when it was running .234 but ever since I updated the OS to .534, i haven't seen this problem. So what I would suggest is updating the OS and see if that helps. Depending on who your carrier is you should already have an official release on the .534 OS when you connect your Torch to the computer.
