Do you think this stock wallpaper image is too girly to use?

Firstly, I'm a male, which is why I'm asking this question. Here in Canada on the Bell network this is the stock wallpaper that comes pre-loaded on the phone when you first turn it on:

Personally, I think it's the best looking stock wallpaper (next to the leaf) and think that all the icons look vibrant with that as the wallpaper. Some of my buddies though think it looks too girly.. I can see why they'd think that, but from a graphic designer perspective I really like the colour contrast.

What do you think? Too girly to use for a guy?

In my opinion it looks a bit girly with the purple and with the background image that "looks" like a close up of a flower. But its more that it looks like a flower combined with the purple rather than the purple itself, as purple alone is not that much of a 100% girl color.

But whateveh... use pink if you want...

Ya the flower is kind of throwing me off... it just looks awesome with the colours of the icons... shame...

No doubt about it- its pure girly.... #1. I´m a male and # 2. I´m with hetero-leanings...:-) A dark (male) wall would also support contrast-aspects... Have a look into the free wallpaper-gallery (Bold9900/9930) There´re a lot of walls (uploaded by me and others in "colors/patterns") which can be twisted (for Torch) and used as a MAALE-wall.... also in canada... :-)

Interestingly enough i dont have wallpapers like that one, purple and yellow blending together. This is the closest i could get to these from the packs i've compiled and posted in the wallpaper forum lol

Sounds to me someone thinks too much about what his friends think. Its a phone who really cares if YOUR wallpaper looks somewhat feminine. Personally I think it looks fine for a man or woman.

How often do other people check out your wallpaper, anyway? And who cares what they think? If you like it, that's all that matters. Put an electric pink Hello Kitty wallpaper on if it floats your boat.
