here is what is really irking me, when you view a wallpaper in the photo app looks great perfect res, then you apply it as wallpaper and it gets stretched for some reason and looks terrible.

Wallpapers need to be 1024x1024 to support both orientations. It just centers the view between views. if one side is not 1024, it stretches the image so that the short side is 1024 and then centers the wallpapers.

I have noticed that even photos taken on the device that are set as wallpaper are being stretched. As it’s not practical to always have the exact resolution image I have passed this info back to RIM.

I have updated all the images in the gallery to be 1024x1024 and have added over 145 wallpapers.
