NOTE: To fit the 800x800 wallpapers to your screen resolution open the picture (Assuming you have already downloaded it to your phone and it is in your "Pictures" folder...) and click the trackpad twice, doing this should have zoomed the picture to its native resolution. Saving the picture as a wallpaper like this should look perfect in both Landscape and Portrait orientations! The wallpapers that are a bit larger in width than portrait orientation width (ex. 800x535, not native 800x480) wont work using the previous zooming method, sometimes you have to only click the trackpad once, or sometimes that overzooms so you may need to pinch to zoom to get it perfect. At any rate the 800x800 resolutions work the best. 800x480 res wallpapers should require no zooming, they should already be viewed in native res upon opening the file. Hope this helps!

Did a search and found nothing for wallpapers for the 9860/9850 phones... So I took it upon myself to create my own! Now Im really big into anime so what I contribute will most likely be anime related, but dont let that stop you from posting whatever you find or create!

This is an ANY genre wallpaper thread for the Torch phones.

Anyway, Im open to criticism as Im not very good in Photoshop and I only know what Ive taught myself, so Im sure there are better ways of doing things, but I hope you like what I created at least!

Some of the images are Landscape/Portrait friendly but I have a few that arent... Hope thats ok!

Also if anybody wants the PSD files, just send me a PM and I can send them to you.

Another Also! I have iPhone screen res versions if anybody wants them! Just send a PM!

These following Wallpapers are basically images I just took off the internet and cropped and cut to fit the 9860/9850s screen size. Sorry, I wanted quick pictures and didnt want to take the time I did with the images above.

For anybody that likes the short series and movie Afro Samurai I have made a background, well a little more than a few, from scratch! Everything thats in these papers should be in frame weather your in Landscape or Portrait mode. (Yes I have taken into consideration the Information Banner thingy that displays the clock and such hides things.)

I guess I should mention that they are all basically the same pic with slight differences. I couldnt make up my mind when I was creating them, although for what its worth the first one I posted is my favorite.

Alrighty Everybody! Just finished a bunch of new wallpapers, Although they are all pretty much identical except slight differences.... I got playing with brushes in Photoshop and could decide what I was happy with so I turned out having a bunch of variances!

Hope you all like what I created! Also if anybody wants any of the backgrounds I create minus the people and logos just ask and I will upload it, I have all the wallpapers saved as .psd files so all I need to do is open them and delete a few layers and Viola! Instant background minus anime! Cause lets face it, Anime isnt for everyone. Anyway Enjoy!

















Just finished this one! Took me a while, but thats probably because Im not the best in Photoshop. I have a lot of things I dislike about this wallpaper and I want to change it.... Maybe try to get to it today, but if I dont I probably wont ever get around to it... not anytime soon at least, Im not very good at trying to stay focused at creating a single background... I like to create many as fast as I can... lol, Obviously this isnt a good feature so I try my hardest to stick on the same image until Im completely satisfied with it! Anyway I hope you all enjoy this pic!

So I have created a few more wallpapers, the first of which I post is an edit of the last wallpaper I made, I like it better, it has a few touch-ups that are pretty minor but in my eyes significant to the overall look of the wallpaper. Enjoy!








This next one im not as satisfied as I want to be, although I created it at around midnight and took me to around 3 in the morning to complete. Normally Im not this slow at creating such a simple wallpaper but I was tired and I was becoming very judgmental about what was added so I removed lots and added more then removed that as well. What I ended up with was a very simple wallpaper. I tried making the surface hes standing on (YES its a guy, lol) look like glass or mirror like, but it didnt turn out like I pictured it, and now looking back on it, I realize there was much easier routes that I could have taken to creating the look I desired but being so tired I didnt think of it at the time. Oh well, you be the judge people! AND here it is!







This next wallpaper took me around 3 hours. As usual theres quite a bit Id like to change as I dont like the way it looks or what I could have done to make it look better. But it is what it is and Im just going to leave it for now. Hope you enjoy!
EDIT: Yes I do realize when I added layer blending options and added shadow effects to one of the layers it didnt add shadow to the whole shaped objects I used on the left side of the wallpaper. I know what I did wrong but by the time I caught it, I had rasterized the layer I used for the objects and saved the file as a .PSD and closed the file which wipes my history states. Poo, cant fix it now. Oh well.... lol. No biggie, You dont really see those areas in either orientation on the phone so it doesnt bother me.
EDIT 2: ARGH!!! Just noticed her shadow makes her appear closer to the wallpaper than the screens even though their shadows make it look like they are farther away than she is yet they are behind her.... ITS A PARADOX! I will fix this, give me time. Guess thats what I get for making wallpapers at ungodly times at night/in the morning... lol.

Liked my custom background I created so I rendered a few girls and added them to my personal wallpaper! Just a case of me wanting a quick extra wallpapers without taking the time to make new backgrounds.... lol.












And heres a couple of quickies that took no time at all! All I did was render a few images of Princess Peach from... well you probably already know, vectored them and added them to existing wallpapers I found on the internet! Id like to credit the people that made the backgrounds I used but I couldnt find anybody taking credit for making the backgrounds, oh well.... Anyway, Enjoy!






This next version of Peach I only really half vectored, it was a really poor quality image I used so it wasn't working very well.... but here it is.

w00t! Its Game Time again! I spent MANY hours on this one, it really doesnt look like I did, but let me tell you! I ripped the characters, some from different pages, out of an artbook I had! However the scanner I tried using, Not my own as I dont have one, SUCKED! No matter what quality I scanned them at it would horribly pixellate the images, so my way of working around that was scanning them as LARGE as I could and using Photoshop to fix the impurities and finally shrink the images to a usable size increasing the overall clarity of the image. But to be honest, these images were such poor quality, they really should have been vectored. Although that would have taken me much MUCH longer to create this wallpaper.

Anyway this is what took so long, I had to recreate and manipulate a lot of the art, however its not my best work as I left some artifact behind, but I manipulated it in a way that It added a neat effect to the wallpaper. It was also difficult to match the actual color of the characters that were in the artbook to what was visible on the computer, not to mention trying to have the color tones of each character all match everybody in the picture, but then I realized, every screen will display colors differently and I dont just mean by the quality of a monitor but I mean more like the monitor Im using isnt calibrated to be true to life colors that would appear when printing.

Forgetting the technicalities of it all as it can get quite confusing, I made several uploads of the unfinished artwork to my phone so I could match the colors as close as possible to what was in the artbook, now bear in mind everybodys phones screen will have slightly different color temps and such but on my phone, the color is almost IDENTICAL to the artbook. I really did go painstakingly out of my way for this wallpaper, which I dont usually do, but this wallpaper is dedicated to a game series I love. Anyway enough of my chit chat on with the end result! Hope you all can appreciate this, even if its not my own artwork.

EDIT: Id also like to note, I tried my best to get these look as best as I could in both orientations. I also wanted one logo visible in Portrait and not in Landscape and Vise-Versa with the other logo..... Anyway Enjoy!

Alrighty! So I have 2 more pics I made and 1 variation of each! Well, they were cover art for 2 different games out of the Artbook I have, but to make them fit into the viewing area of the 9860/9850s screen I had to add quite a bit around the original photo trying to recreate what wasnt there and I also added some effects to the original photo. Took a while and like every other wallpaper I create, im not very sure I like the outcome 100%, but it is what it is and here they are! Hope you enjoy!

Just made a a few new wallpapers! Figured that because I was using the same image I made in several wallpapers with slight changes to the background that it was time to create new ones! Well here they are! Hope everybody likes them!

Same as above, just moved her slightly to the right! After I stuck the first one on my phone I wanted to see the tip of the lance better, so I moved her into a position that worked better and put what mattered in frame of the phone. (I have guides in photoshop that tell me where the edges of the phones screen are in all orientations and where the clock banner and minimized panel banner all are in all orientations, but im still able to view the whole picture when working on it so when I actually view the photo on my phone, It tends to give a more realistic real world view on what Ive made.... So I do like to change things.)






And this one, I was just experimenting with Photoshop.... wasnt trying AT ALL! Just a test, but I thought Id upload it anyway!
