What is the obsession they have the super sharp edges on the phones? Have they not realized dafter the passport that people don't want their edges pointy? It hurts your palms when you're using it and just looks stupid. Theres a reason that almost every phone out there has rounded edges.

John chen, I know you are jackie chen's cousin but you really need to stop this.

or perhaps going for the already sliced cheese look with the screen of the Passport being about that size

I'm holding onto the rounded edged Q5 as the main phone for a while yet.

It's cost effective that's why. Cost extra to round the edges

Everything that BlackBerry does hardware-wise these days is in response to the iPhone. If you are looking to differentiate yourself from the iPhone and it's clones then you have to go either rounder or sharper. Palm tried to go rounder. Also, rounded corners doesn't look very good unless you have all of your other design elements refined.

Really? This is an issue? Blackberry has round corner phones and square corner phones. Pick one instead of picking on one!

Well more of a reference to the Palm Pre, which literally could cut cheese. (videos on the internet)

I don't think holding it will be an issue as the bottom of the phone is rounded and should be comfortable, although I wouldn't mind if they took a Q10/Classic approach and rounded the top as well just to make it symmetrical.
Maybe just make it similar to the Porsche design?

I would like to have much sharper edges on my Z30. It was one of my first questions when I held it in my hand for the first time: damned, why did they make such round edges? Sooner or later I will drop it!

The present aesthetics and ergonomy of BlackBerry devices are just fine, among the best there is. If it's hurt your palm probably you don't know to to handle with it. But everything can be learn, even aesthetics.

Rounded corners are better but spherical corners are best. I love spherical corners like those in iPhone 6/6s or the Obi Worldphone SF1/SJ1.

I love the squared corners on the Passport. I suppose the Passport SE is the "best of both worlds," but I despise the AT&T version.

Not trying to disagree with you, but the Z3 had sharp edges as well as the Leap

Otherwise, yes BlackBerry have made a lot of Rounded corners. I like rounded.

The real question is why are they obsessed with the self-destruction of the best OS in existence? I'm sure most users would rather deal with the squared corners (like them or not) than have to use an Android.

Because they lose money on every device because too many people want either want IOS or Android.

Wait I'm confused... How is BlackBerry supposed to differentiate from the competition in its phone designs if all their phones look exactly the same and the same as their competitors? i.e. the typical candy bar design.......
