I would eat my shirt if any manufacture made a device with no touch screen in 2016 lol

The Pebble Time (standard, steel, round) doesn't have a touchscreen...
    I did say 2016

As I know about the Pebble Time.

But you never clarified if "make" meant "launch" or "build and sell." And there will be more Pebble watch models in the future, and I doubt touchscreens will be on them for a while.

I'm really hoping that this an ugly rumor. If true this would be a deal breaker for me buying the phone. Can someone in the know verify this? Thanks.

Given that the phone hasn't even been released yet... Also, taking into account that all posting here about this device is speculative at best... And considering that anything 'official' at this point... well, wouldn't be... It's awfully hard to reply to a post like this. Just sayin'... :-/

Did you actually need to make a thread for this?

Mods, why can't you just delete this kind of stupidity?

There's no way the Vienna has no touch screen, but the first Droid did have a touch screen and a trackpad.

Wishful thinking? Some folks really don't like zero force, zero displacement, zero tactile feedback, thumb stretching, capacitive touch HMI. I, for one, would pay a 10x premium for a simple option to shut off touch at will! That, of course, would require FULLY functional track implementation. Something not effeciently done since BBOS, IMO. (Classic gets close, tho). Not likely to happen in Droid, AFAIK.

It must be the new phone that is entirely voice-controlled then. We all know how well that works.

I can live without a touchscreen if it comes with a trackpad where I can use my thumb like a mouse. I actually find it kind of annoying that I have to leave the trackpad to copy text in the browser, and to hit the copy and paste buttons on the screen. I would prefer being able to do it all from the trackpad.

The trackpad would need scrolling, pointing, & cursor capabilities...perhaps at default it scrolls the page...tap twice on it to get the pointer, which disables the scrolling so you can move around using the trackpad like a mouse pad, and tap again to get the cursor which functions as it does now for copy and pasting. It could work.

The more I think about this and test it in theory the more I like it.

I heard it's actually based on the computer from the movie "Brazil," or my grandfather's 1912 Royal. Totally ridiculous. It should at least be a Selectric III.
