Smile Unlocked phone resets upon inserting different SIM?

I recently bought a blackberry bold 9000 and it is unlocked because i did the On your BlackBerry, go to Options > Advanced Options > Sim Card > MEPD and it said everything was disabled. When I put in my Fido simcard in,the phone loads up and then says "verifying security software". once thats done loading the phone shuts down and repeats the process i just described. Some help would we really appreciated. THANKS

did you enable anything in the mepd? something must have been triggered because your phone is repeating the process.

so wait you are trying to unlock your phone by running the mepd? did fido tell you to do this? it just doesn't add up in what you are implying here.

No, The phone is already unlocked. When I put in my fido simcard in the phone it starts up then restarts over and over. When i take the simcard out the phone stops restarting.

There are many threads on CB that go step by step on how to do that.
