Problem with previously unlocked BB Bold

Hello, all

I have a BB Bold 9700 which I had unlocked a few years ago. It has been working fine with 2 different SIMs in Venezuela and Colombia. I have now moved to Germany and I got a T-Mobile prepaid SIM. However, despite the phone being unlocked, as soon as the phone turns on it gives me a "Network MEP failed" message.

Can anyone guide me through this? Why doesn't it work?
