Need help activating Bold 9930..

Hey guys, I'm with Rogers and I have a Verizon Wireless Bold 9930. I bought the unlock code from cellunlocker, they provided me with the: SIM CODE, MEP1 NCK CODE, MEP2 SUBSET CODE, MEP3 PROV CODE, MEP4 CORP CODE. I put in my Rogers sim card into the phone, and it asked me for the unlock code, so I entered the MEP1 NCK code, and it went away. It still wasn't working after, it said "Activation Required" on the top, so I did the "# #000000" and entered my phone number at the top, then it said the write was successful and my phone reboot. When it started up again, the "Activation Required" is gone, but instead there is now a red triangle where my provider name is supposed to be. I still can't use the phone, and the connection is stuck on "Roaming". Can anyone help me out please? What do I need to do in order to get it working?

Hi kn0x,

You are supposed to use the MEP2 code

Try the MEP2 Code instead

how can i enter it again? when i go to sim card, i type MEPD, the 5 categories show up.. but then when i type MEP2, nothing happens

When you type MEPD and the 5 categories show up

if they all say disabled or inactive then the phone is unlocked for sure

If anything is active you need to enter the code

just follow our instructions from our other post here.

If the phone is unlocked and it says roaming when you have your rogers simcard in it, then you just need to switch the phone to GSM mode

Go to the network settings and switch the network mode to 2G, GSM or EDGE

Need to switch connection to 2g/3G
