If you have been with your carrier for longer than 90 days they will unlock it for FREE, long as you tell them you are going abroad... Works for me every time.. I have yet to pay for this service...

Note: All you have to give them is the IMEI # and that is it...

Call them and ask nicely. T-Mobile is pretty good about issuing unlock codes. Tell them you are going abroad in a week, or two, or whenever it is. They will more than likely give you the code (for free). Especially if you have been a customer for a while.

If you just joined t-mobile and want it unlocked it might be a little more difficult.

Not Tmobile UK...maybe Tmobile USA do but ive been with Tmobile UK for yrs and never had them give me a free unlock code.

You could just go down to the high st and find a place that does unlocking for you or otherwise have a look around the internet for unlocking services...theres a few here that have been mentioned.
