hey just thought I'd check if anyone has a legit site to unlock the Z10 or is everyone still waiting. I see a bunch of users offering free services but I presume it may not yet be available for the Z10.

In need of one ASAP tmr so just thought I'd search the forums.

Unfortunately if you live in the United States, that can't be done by anyone but the carrier that sells the phones now. Even then, the carrier may or may not agree to unlock it. I think someone else here may be able to further answer the question.

From Canada so unlocking is not an issue. I'm not concerned more so if the US can unlock it, i'm just lookign for a legitimate website as so many unlocking services are scams.

I have a z10 I bought from O2. They won't unlock it for 12 months because I bought it off contract. I have been searching online since for an unlock code but none available. Really annoyed to be honest.

Completely false from what I know. Tried a telus card in a roger device. Need to punch in a code.

Also I may add. You are entitled to get the unlock code for free from the carrier if you bought it outright. They will be reluctant to give it out though. For Canada of course.

Just get back from some emails received from kind unlocking professionals, for the info I have now this is the situation for O2 UK Z10:
- Blackberrycodesource.com : they are in a kind of beta-testing, no problem for Canadian.
- Cellunlocker.net : yes, they can do, it cost 39.99 and it takes 3-8 business day.
- crackberryunlocking.com : yesterday afternoon was available O2 unlocking at more "fair" price of 50 usd, today is back to 75 (!!) but I think it's a mistake of the system, when you choose O2 the following flag give iphone reference? I hope it will be fixed soon.

Anyone has done it already with one of the above? Any feedback please ?

What is the reason for that kind of price?

Will they go down eventually?

I'm just curious as to why as the US carrier unlocks are a lot cheaper.
