Hi,

i buy a new Blackberry Z10 in UK and now i recognized that this has a MEP Lock to O2 UK.
Can anybody help me to get a MEP Number very fast ?

I'm in the same boat buddy, got a BB Z10 the other day and it's locked to O2... https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help Fill out that and ask for it to be unlocked, they might send you the code for free, I found a thread in this forum that someone was able to get an MEP code from them.

I can confirm this i filled the form out and i got a unlock code for my o2 z10 in 2 days worked first time make sure you are on pay monthly and the z10 is on the o2 network only you will get the unlock code in two working days i did free.

Ahhhh that's why, I tried Pay&Go, gonna try my mates number now cause he's on Pay Monthly, and see what they say!

If u join pay monthly u should be able to request immediately.

I would do the request for you but I've already unlocked two z10s using my number. My own and someone on this forum.

a man from O2 customer care told me that I just need a pay and go sim , make a little top up and ask for the code without problems.
Did anybody tried this ??

I tried joining the pay monthly today but at the part for the credit check it declined because according to them I have no credit history,
I really would need someone to help me make the request now

no still didn't try it... I'm waiting the sim card reach my address.. I'm now living out of UK.
If this will not work the only way will be resell my phone in ebay as locked... :-(

I'm in the same boat in South Africa. Using the device in wifi only mode. Need an o2 unlock code cos this one's mep locked.

as I written in the other thread I'm the same your situation, I've already made 2 attempt with Crackberry Unlocking with no luck but they refund me promptly.
Apparently the easiest and cheapest way is to buy through ebay a O2 pay and go micro sim, put it in the Z10, make a 15£ top up and then ask straight to the customer care the unlocking code for it !
At the moment I'm waiting for my sim...

THAT'S weird! My first "Credit" was a phone contract with o2 and had no issues at all! Your first pay monthly may have to be at a crazy amount of money or a longer term?

In fact I've known people on the dole and in financial difficulty get pay monthly contracts...

The contract my son has with O2 is a pay monthly with a 30-day notice period... no lock-in at all.

They supply it for free regardless. It just depends if u are payg or pay monthly. If u know someone on pay monthly ask them to submit the online request for u using their contract details and the imei of your phone. Painless process.

Ok good to know. They've mailed me back saying : "Your phone needs to be linked to our network before we can unlock it. As it isn't linked, you'll need to link it first by making an outgoing
call from within the UK."
"make an outgoing call from within the UK and keep the SIM card in your phone for at least 24 hours."

I obviously don't want to send the phone all the way back to do this!?

noooo..... in UK ??? when I had my chat with the only very helpful person I found there he told just to put the sim in it and make 1 call or/and 1 ams, that's all !
he didn't say me to do it in UK, he knows I'm not living there anymore...

@xdoomx: do you have already a pay & go sim to try it ? I'm waiting mine in this week and finally we'll know.

If all that doesn't work the only way is to sell it back as locked in ebay UK :-(, I think I will do it soon.
