8830 Sprint- Unlock for working BES in India

Hi.

I'm getting a Sprint 8830 phone from the US. My queries

a) How do I unlock it for use with Airtel GSM service in India.

b) After unlocking, will I be able to use AIRTEL BES services on the phone.

Let us know when you get it, your 8830 might already be unlocked, if not we can help you unlock it.

It will work with Airtel because they operate on 900/1800.

BES will work considering you have BES on your Airtel account.

If the phones reaches me in Locked condition, can I unlock it remotely being in India or should I be in Sprint's network to unlock it.

Yes you can unlock it from there. A Blackberry can be unlocked from anywhere in the world as long as you have the correct unlock code.

It can be unlocked remotely. Once unlocked as long as the carrier supports BES services you will be to get everything setup and going.

Thats the beauty of unlocking your phone by code! It can be unlocked from anywhere in the world as long as you have a working unlock code..which any one of us can provide you with!

The BES part is dependent on you having a BES server
