8800 Unlcoked... Will hard reset effect unlock???

I have to hard reset my 8800 because it has an email account from a previous owner on it. I was wondering if wiping the phone will have any effect on the unlock that was performed...

No it will not. Reset as required.
You may want to manually delete the service books for the offending account.

Unlocking on BB's is hardware related and once done is done. You can reset the device, reload the OS or a newer one and it will still be unlocked.
