The Android BES client has been replaced with the UEM client, now adding activations using the GOOD infrastructure and bypassing the usual Google Android for Work backend configuration

'BES12' no longer exists.. it's BlackBerry UEM branding from here on out.

Looks the same as the previous BES client, just integrates and works with the GOOD services now part of BES/UEM 12.6
As Bla1ze mentioned, it's a renaming of the client but does include new features provided by UEM such as the simplified activation.
If you don't setup the UEM good services or still run an older BES 12 server, it will continue to work and activate device as it did previous.
