Tried my hand at a super mario theme ... hope y'all like

This is a large them (2M download) but runs smoothly on my tour with 5.0.419

Spacebar for QuickLaunch and $ for sms/mms mailbox

Number of lives for mario = battery - 10 is max
Number of coins = signal meter - 0 to 100 (%)

cool but here's some suggestions. never, NEVER use comic sans for anything.

try to find a font that is or looks like the on-screen nintendo font.

bad fonts in themes are killing me.

1) comic sans seemed to be the closest to the in game font
2) the person for whom I made the theme likes the font
3) nice to be so negative. Other than the first word, nothing constructive in your criticism. Suggestion: never say "yadda yadda yadda BUT ..." as ypu are negating everything you said before but

i suggested that you use a more Nintendo-like font.

try this one Arcade Classic Font | dafont.com

or this Super Mario Bros Alphabet Font | dafont.com

i didn't mean to be totally negative, but comic sans is always a no-no. it just is.

still think comic sans comes closest to IN GAME fonts - not the font on the cover or from super mario bros 3 for NES

that's not even close to comic sans. You'd be closer if you just used Arial black or something like that. i was thinking of the original for the NES.

You're right. On closer inspection, comic sans is not that close. Oh well. At least I learned a new place to get fonts. Not that I'll be theming for a while anyway.
