Plain and simple. In your minds, is the tour worth the 200 bucks?

I am coming from a Pearl, just tired of how slow the Pearl works, especially when it comes to taking and sending pictures. Is the Tour any faster with any of that, or will I just be miffed with that too?

I find mine much faster then the Curve I had for both the taking and sending of photos. Plus the resolution is much better. Along with that everything else is faster and crisper then the old phone.

200 isnt really that much for a phone. the most ive ever paid was 400 something. i remember when the razor 1st came out it was $500 with a 2 yr contract lol

I came from a Pearl 8130 myself. There's absolutely no comparison between the two phones. I wouldn't trade in my Tour if my life depended on it. EXCELLENT phone.

Absolutely! I'm a former pearl 8130 user myself & I would definitely recommend the Tour 9630. The only thing you may have to get use to is the smaller buttons but I don't doubt that the transition will be anything but smooth! Good luck...

The tours software is much newer, and it should be getting 5.0 soon. That alone to me was worth the upgrade, let alone the faster/better all around experience and the full keypad.

I upgrades from the 8330 and paid $149 for it at Best Buy. I don't at all regret it and think it was worth every penny. The screen, speed, memory, and pretty much everything else is better. I haven't had any of the trackball or any other issues some people have posted about and I've had it since release day.

I paid $100 for my Tour and I definitely think its a big jump up from the 8330 I was using. As for seeing a speed difference in sending & receiving photos...absolutely there is a difference! The Tour transmits data with EV-DO Rev A. The Curve data was transmitted using Rev 0. That's a big difference in data speed. Also, the CPU in the Tour is a lot faster than the Curve or Pearl, so everything is going to operate much faster.

im a former 8830we>pearl>curve>storm user and i got a tour and so far its the best of the blackberry devices... i did love my storm but the tour is more reliable and faster and has way more memory than any other blackberry, and i think its worth 200 but thats really up to you and remember there is always a 30day worry free so buy it try it and if its not for you return it
