Since I started using the crappy OS from vzw/rim I have to press the trackball several times to get it to work most of the time, but I have found that if I place the arrow on whatever I want picked, enlarged etc. And hit the curved arrow (next) in the lower right corner of my Tour it usually works as is I pressed the trackball once. You would think vzw/rim would have fixed this mess by now.

I found that if I click and it doesnt register I can move the tackball off and back on and it usually works the second time.

they have, just update your tour to the leaked version of .643. its by far the best os we have seen for the tour and it fixes the click issue and many other issues you are having.

Do we know when to expect .643 to be offcially released?

Dont worry about waiting for it to be officially released. Do yourself a favor and update to .643. You wont have the click issue anymore, but you will have better battery life and faster browsing. Win Win.

643 is pretty nice here. I have only experienced browser click but battery life does seem a tad better (without an actual metric to compare).
