Default Will the Tour be faster and more responsive than the Storm?

Am I correct in assuming that the tour will be much faster and more responsive (instant?) than the storm?

I have had a storm since dec. and like it but get frustrated with the freezing and delay when selecting things as simple as messaging.

Since the storm is my 1st BB I don't know if freezing, lag, and battery pulls are common place for all BB or just the storm.

all responses will be appreciated.

Define freezing and lag.

I think the Tour will be a lot more responsive than the Storm, but as far as eliminating lag completely? We can only hope.

Battery pulls should be less frequent as well.

freezing for me means it just locks for a few seconds, 10 seconds, or never comes back on and requires a pull.

lag means when I press message icon it takes 3-4 seconds to open.

The Tour will probably feel like greased lightning in your hands.

it is because I was informed (by civic)

the reason that its faster is because clock cycles on the processor are not being used to sense touch screen activity..

if you havnt had a chance yet to watch some videos coming out the last couple days showing the Tour and what it can do, you will have to see it! The Tour is amazing! As far as speed goes, the Tour puts the storm to shame, it impresses me everytime i see the tour in action just how fast the phone is. By the sounds of it, RIM has hit a grand slam with this tour for sure

Previosuly before I had the storm i had a 8830 and absolutely loved that phone because it never lagged and battery pull was not common and i switched to the storm where it constantly lags and you must pull the battery, I think the tour is going to be just like the 8830 just everything better and beyond

The only way the Tour can be slower than the Storm is if you have the Tour shut off : )

Even then it's a close race. I'd give the Tour the SLIGHT edge though.
