I want to know if I should order one now so that I have it when it comes out. Hopefully those of you who have the phone already will be able to answer that.

this is a good question, i was also wondering if it would ship with the same 8gb microsd card that the storm shipped with.....

I think it is dependent on the carrier, not from RIM.

So did the verizon curve. The storm is only one that comes with 8gb

    I don't believe it will come with a 8gig..

the storm did because it was obvious competition to the iPhone.. you can't have a consumer media device without having room for media..

The tour will not come with a mem card. Verizon is already preparing bundle packages that include the mem card for when the phone hits the market.

The actual BB.com site says it may or may not come with the phone. Depends on carrier I guess.

It's not like they're expensive cards.

And hopefully it will have the newest os to support a 16gb card anyhow.

I'm hoping it can handle 32gb!

    Edit: woo! 100th post!

Ouch, I'm about to switch to BB from years and years of HTC based WinMo use due to corporate security policies. It hadn't even occurred to me that they might not use the larger cards. Since the Storm came with an 8gig, I assume that the Tour will be able to use at least that size and is there any definitive info that says they can't use 16s?

I have tons, and I do mean tons of support .pdfs that I carry with me on my phone. Would hate to lose the ability to dump a bunch of music on it as well just to keep all those. I've lost too many of the damn cards for those of you thinking, "hey, just have a media card and a document card dummy!".

I think I've seen CX confirm that it will be able to work with a 32gb card. Don't quote me though.

That would be great. Hopefully it's for real and we all get to find out for sure soon.

I've never really used my phone as much of a media player. I have a 2GB memory card in my Pearl and it's not even close to being filled. However, I won't say no to free stuff.
