    Hey everyone,

I have always had an extra battery to carry with me no matter what phone i have had. I am hoping for some suggestions on what websites are the best places to get the battery at the best price, i.e. Amazon or Ebay? Also, who have you bought extra batteries from for the tour and how have they been for you?

    Thanks in advance

why don't people just answer questions?

The tour uses the d-x1 battery, it's the same one from the Curve 8900, Storm 9530, Storm 9500. they are dirt cheap on ebay.

Get the Seidio Slim Extended battery. It is great and is nice to have a spare.

And yes, that one works with the Storm, Curve 8900, Tour.

thanks for the helpful reply. I wanted to get opinions from fellow crackberry people on this one.

Thanks everyone for the helpful responses. I was looking at a bunch of websites and was not sure about reliability of websites if they are dirt cheap like $10 for a battery.

is there a way to charge a spare battery without inserting it in your BB? I came from a WM device that had a desktop charger where I could stick a spare battery in to charge. thanks.

i buy most of my accessories on amazon.. great service and usually a very good price.

for charging batteries, there is a stand-alone battery charger that uses the same power cords at the tour, storm and curve 8900:

BlackBerry Accessories Store - Product Detail

available lots of places including crackberry store, amazon, ebay, etc.

I bought a d-x1 battery (oem) for $4.40 and a external battery charger (generic) for $3.90 from ebay yesterday. I love not having to leave my phone charging somewhere, just when it needs charging just swap the battery with the one on the charger.
