I really don't want to go through the hassle of re-setting my settings all exactly like how I have it done now, so I've been hesitant about trying out all of these leaked OS's, but when the official ones does come out, would I have to reset everything (hidden icons, apps in certain folders, etc) back to original again? Or is it smart enough to leave absolutely everything intact but upgrade the OS and respective apps, etc?

As long as you back up all your data and everything on your device you'll be fine. And don't be hesitant to jump to the leaked 5.0.0.230, I've been running it for a month completely flawlessly. And the threaded SMS is badass compared to the lame 4.7 SMS. Doo eeet!

I was nervous to update to 5.0 too, but I decided to give it a shot and did it yesterday. I'm loving it! It seems a little faster than 4.7. The ONLY thing I've noticed so far is that quickpull doesn't seem to work with it. I can live with that though until the official release is dropped.

edit: hhmm...I can't get the link to work from that thread...gateway timouts....reading through it, it looks like it's only working on .314. I have .230 on my tour.

Just make sure you search the beta threads for any app compatibility issues people have encountered on 5.0. I had to go back to 4.7.1.53 because of three apps I must have that won't run on 5.0.
