New to the forum.

I have done a search on my problem. For text messages received in the stock BB holster only the red light flashes. Outside of the holster it rings. Phone calls work in and out and the same with emails.

The only fix I have found is this....Put the phone in upside down with the face away from the back clip. Any other way and it does not ring.

Any other thoughts? BTW my os is 4.7.1.40

You can set under "Profile" and Advanced, different settings for the holster. Check what they are now.

Thanks for the reply...I have looked but where do I find the profile. There are a ton of different areas and I am new to BB.

The downside to upside down in case is that now you can push keys while inserting and removing the tour.

Now I get a text message from someone on ATT and my phone rings in the holster. Text message from Verizon subs. do not ring in holster.
